Since we all basically know that change is coming, sooner or later, what can we do to prepare for it?
One huge thing is to simplify our lives so that when the change comes it will flow more easily. It can fit, integrate, adjust more smoothly and effortlessly into our lives. Simplifying can mean letting go of things in our physical environment that we don't need or use anymore (and maybe never did!). Or, it can mean eliminating activities in our lives which do not support positive change. Unnecessary meetings, clubs, social groups or even individual people at times can clutter up our time management attempts, so better sometimes to just say "no", at least for now. For me, it's my garage that needs my attention, and I have been giving it that. Twenty years in one place, being an artist and one with a wide variety of interests, means my garage has been a magnet for material objects of interest to no one but me. But, am I the same "me" that put them there years ago, decades ago? No, not really. The truth is I have changed, and likely so have you. We probably all have "stuff"' around our homes, in our closets, garages, attics that needs to go to Good Will or something like that, maybe our local second hand shop. There are people who will appreciate and even wear that sweater that never was the right color for you, (and besides that it made you "itch"). Old cosmetics tend to collect, bath oils with cheap, gagging scents, herbs that dried out decades ago, pots with scratched teflon bottoms, canned food that has been outdated for years, books, God forbid piles of old magazines, old hobby items (I just gave away a bunch of old oil paints as I never did enjoy working with oils and they never go dry!) What about that beautiful sequinned jacket? Ever going to fit in that again, and who wears sequins now? Shoes, really, are you going to actually wear those high heels again? They have not been worn in ten years! Pictures in frames not hung on walls that never will be. Like the picture/photo, good, take it out of the frame and recycle it. I could go on and on, all because I have experience with all this :). Too much experience :). I know I feel so much better when I simplify, organize and clean up different parts and places in my life. Others say the same thing. It is a way of making space both figuratively and phychically for "the new" to come in. No two things can fit in the same space, the same way that your brain cannot think two thoughts at the same time. That is why it is good to "think" on lovely things, positive thoughts only. Then no negative ones can "occupy" your attention. What can you simplify today? What part of your home, office, car, workshop, garage, kitchen drawers, etc? If you start with one small place you may realize you are energized to move on and work to clean up another place! It kind of becomes exciting and makes you feel happy. Your head is always another great place to clean up and unclutter. When things continually bug you, annoy you, frustrate you, anger you, drain you, it is definitely time to change your thoughts and beliefs about something. It is your higher self's way of prompting you to let go of something, or someone, in order to regain emotional and mental balance and peace of mind. So, what will it be for you today? Where will you give yourself the gift of accomplishment, which will then in turn give you the gifts of a lightness of being, feeling happy and peacefully fulfilled? I would enjoy hearing back from any of you who actually feel motivated to act. Share with me, with others, what you did and how it made you feel. For me; I have my creative space to tackle today. I have been busy there and when I am busy there, I make a big mess. It's time for clearing, organizing, and getting ready for my next burst of creativity. I hope this has helped some of you out there. :) Onward........ in preparation for upcoming, awesome change.... Jeanne

Change is coming alright; in the weather of course, but even more importantly, in and for you and me.
Change is either here upon us now, or surely it is coming. It may come slowly, steadily, undiscerned, or it can pounce upon us quickly and unexpectedly. If it is change we like, that makes us feel great, uplifted, happier, healthier, more energized, this is a fabulous thing! If the change surprises us in a negative way..... not so fabulous, eh? It often brings that vague feeling of anxiety, worry or fear. It can zap you of your energy, and your lust for life. It can be overwhelming or depressing. Whatever feelings negative change brings with it, they are not feelings you want to wallow around in. The sooner you move out of the negative feelings, the more quickly positive change will come. What can we do about it? Well, we are the ones who are bringing about most of the change in our own lives. Our thoughts, both the conscious ones and the unconscious ones, added to the thoughts of the "collective unconscious" of all peoples in the USA, and the world become enormous and very powerful, creative "thought forms". Thoughts create. Two powerful words when put together. Remember that. The thoughts all pour into a huge cosmic soup and the predominant ones materialize. So what we can do is basically think thoughts that we want to see materialize, and drop, eliminate, delete all thoughts that oppose our desired goals for ourselves and our world. Think positive, and you will begin to feel empowered instead of helpless, weak, and ineffective in your own life. It's a practice, for sure. It is so easy to slip back into negative habits and patterns of thinking negatively or in a lack mentality when things are not looking the way we want to see them in our material world. Unfortunantely, many of us learned poor thinking habits growing up, no fault of anyone, not blaming anyone, just realizing what knowledge we did not know, teach and or share back then (if you are in the baby boomer generation! for sure). The world was not as aware of how the mind works, how the subconscious mind holds incredible power, and holds onto every bit of input from our conception on. With the history of our personal lives and the collective human experience, we then develop our "core beliefs" and build our life upon them. Right or wrong, we stick with them, until we learn later on when "change" comes in one form or another, and we are forced to re-evaluate our core beliefs and come up with new core beliefs to replace them. As a coach, I well know that "coaching is a practice". I practice coaching myself all the time. This will not change. It is one of the things that will not change. I will be coaching myself until I leave my physical body, for sure. What will change will be what I am coaching myself about. Sometimes it is about my thoughts about finances and what I really feel I need, want and or deserve. Other times I may be coaching myself as to what I really really want for the next part of my life. Do I really want a life partner? Or, am I quite happy living my own very free, artistic life style, having to answer to no one, surrounded by loving, supportive friends, all quite peaceful and pleasant? I have to ask myself the right questions to get myself to the truthful answers I need to live my most abundantly enjoyable life, to give and receive the most love possible, on as many levels as possible. So, I ask; "What changes are you aware of in your life right now?" Or, perhaps, "What changes are creeping up on you that are trying to get your attention, so that they do not shock or rock your world in the future?" Are these changes that you are dealing well with? Are these changes that you are freaking out over and could use some coaching with? Every once in awhile, I like to remind you that I offer a complimentary coaching session to people to give them the opportunity to feel what the coaching process is like and to consider it as an option to treading troubled waters alone without knowing the tools to get back to shore. My email, as always, is ; [email protected] I invite you to email me and set up your complimentary coaching session. Get a taste of what this process can do for you to help you work through your changes with ease, and actually enjoy your growth and change. Experience feeling confident, strong, sure of yourself and the decisions you are making, upbeat, and open to living life to your full capacity with joy! Moving into Fall with much positive anticipation and love, Jeanne I don't know about anyone else out there, but I am thrilled to see the ramdom clusters of yellow, orange and red leaves. While so many are out loving that heat , humidity and sun, I hibernate.
But, my thinking, pondering, learning and seeking go on and on, despite the hibernation into my art space. I listen listen to many educational youtubes, done by highly educated and respectable teachers. I take what I like and leave the rest. It becomes integrated into my life and my coaching practice. I'm passionate about human potential, growth, awareness, consciousness and excellence. It blows my mind that we have been given so much and yet so many of us are not even scratching the surface of who we really are. We are not just these flesh, bone and blood bodies, with brains and minds that think a bazillion thoughts a day and act on them either appropriately or not so much! We are infused with this thing called LIFE. Life Energy, JUICE, which is of Divine Origin, and thus, we , too are Divine. My belief is that most people have no clue that they are Divine. I see from the way people act and the way people speak, the words, the intonations, the areas they avoid speaking about, show me how disconnected from the Divine many, (most) people truly feel. Trouble is that is not a reality, but, if you believe it is, then it is, for you. The reality is we are intimately and everlastingly connect to the Divine, our Creator, our Source. God. Some don't believe in God. That is ok.... as they will one day realize differently. No one can tell them, teach them or coerce them into believing. It is something they will have to discover on their own and they will. But if you are reading this and do believe in God, or what you may call The Universe, or Divine Creator, Source, etc..... then what can you do to realize your connection with/to God? Meditate in some way. Walk and be quiet, listen to soothing music and be still, sit and look at nature and just watch and let all other thoughts just float out of your mind, close your eyes and repeat a word gently and quitely to yourself, a mantra, a short prayer, maybe play an instrument or paint, or draw and lose yourself in the process , letting the flow of the true creator lead you into the awareness that you are not separate but indeed "one with" that force of brilliance beyond measure and love unfathomable. Oh, yes, and "BREATHE"....... slowly and deeply. Breath in all that you want to see yourself as; radiantly healthy, peaceful in your thinking, happw and fulfilled with your family, friends and career, pursuing things you enjoy that energize and excite you. Breathe out any thing that is dragging you down, any negative thoughts, limiting beliefs, grudges, anger and unforgiveness. Let that all go out with your exhalations. Do that over and over. Do it frequently throughout the day. Yes, I practice these things myself all the time, and they have helped me to feel better and live better. Like everyone else, I have challenges in different areas of my life at different times, but that IS life. When the challenges stop, we will be moving on! We are here in Earth School, not here for a vacation. May as well learn how to learn in a more gentle and effective way. One of my favorite authors, Stuart Wilde, wrote a book titled "Life Was Not Meant To Be a Struggle". Love that book. I highly recommend it, and it's easy reading. So, Fall is right around the corner, announcing itself on the tips of the branches. "Change is coming! Change is coming!" What would you like to change about your life this Fall of 2015? How's that "job" or career feeling these days or past months? Still something you can't wait to jump up and get dressed for on Monday mornings? And the pay? Is it what you deserve or have you been grumbling about that for awhile, under your breath or out loud to others? Oh, and your relationships are all exactly as you would have them be? Or, may you are tired of being ignored, feeling undervalued, disrespected in some way, used perhaps, or worse, abused? What do you want to change, if anything, about your relationships? Or maybe things about yourself, personally; your health, weight, exercising, ability to communicate and relate to others, learning how to open your heart to others, or to be more giving, and more authentic. As always, I offer any of you who feel you would like to know more about what it would be like to experience life coaching with me, you can contact me via my email address; [email protected] and give me a few dates and times when you would be available for a complimentary coaching session over the phone, or on skype. If you are local, and would prefer to meet in person that is possible. Know however that most coaching is done over the phone and is just as effective. When you are truly ready to make some positive life changes, truly committed, the modalities and processes I use are powerful and will propel you into a new healthier, happier place in your life. Thank you for reading my post. Please share it with anyone you think may benefit from reading it. Onward, always.......sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but always, always moving forward, Love, Jeanne The "out of the blue skies" coaching session I mentioned a day or two ago went exceedingly well. It was one of those meetings that you just KNOW was meant to happen; truly orchestrated by the Divine Plan and Timing.'' I truly love coaching when the client is ripe and ready to POP into their new life; their highest and best, happiest and most healthy, their fulfilling and fun life. That makes ME feel more alive, too, to see someone moving forward with a big smile on their face and a huge weight removed from their minds and hearts. Who is next? I never know. That, too, is part of the enjoyment, and fun of this very fluid career. I can be where I want, just about anywhere and still coach. It's not a job. It's a calling. It may have taken me longer than some to find my way, but I now know that everything happens the way it does for a very specific reason. That may sound crazy. It did to me once too. I have a friend who says very often; "Everything is perfect". What is meant by that is; everything is perfect NOW in order for each one of us to learn, "get" the lessons we need IN ORDER that we CAN move forward. So, even if we perceive our world and current surrounds to be terribly stressful and unpleasant in any way, it is really still perfect. Discomfort is a wonderful tool to help move us along. When we are uncomfortable enough, we will finally do something about it. We will take action. Inspired action would be the better choice, not just any willy~nilly action. Part of the coaching process helps the client to tune into their hearts where they are able to hear the inspired message waiting to be heard and acted upon. Some of us need just a little bit of discomfort, and that catalyzes us to seek out new methods, answers, jobs, relationships, or ways to nourish or exercise our bodies. Others of us are slower to learn. We wait till things get so uncomfortable that more drastic actions need to be taken. That is not fun when things get that painful, but there is no one to blame. Nope. What we need to do is learn to take full responsibility for ourselves. That usually involves a lot of personal growth, thus maturing. We can avoid this for only so long, but eventually life catches up with us and the lessons we have trying to avoid are still standing there, taller than ever, waiting for us to learn. Then and only then will the irritant or nagging discomfort, whether it be subtle or profound, fade away. At this point in my life, I am for grabbing the bull by the horns, and learning the lessons quickly! I want to continue to learn how to go with the flow of LIFE and stop sabotaging myself and catching myself on every sharp rock or log that's in the metaphorical river. I want to live an energized, very individualized, freed up and juicy life! Coaching has taught me to be more conscious. More awake and aware of how I feel and what that means to me, ie; like what actions I need to take or stop taking, etc. Coaching has helped me learn how to ask smarter, more appropriate questions of myself and of the Universe/God. Basically, it comes down to this; coaching has helped me learn that I do have the power, the capacity to be happy and light and energetically shining brightly. That anything less than that is not , and certainly not acceptable to me any longer. Who do you know that may benefit from some coaching? Maybe you? Onward, No longer stuck on the dot. Jeanne This year began with an uphill climb! It actually started in mid December with the start of a month long horrible cold.
So, what did I do? After two "Z" packs, I was convinced to board the auto train to Florida with some friends to stay in Sunny Siesta Key, Florida. Of COURSE I feel better now, lol. Who wouldn't? The beach is voted as #1 in the country and it's sand is white crushed crystals that do not ever get too hot to walk on. Just cool, powdery softness that leads to the cooler January crystal clear aqua water of the Gulf of Mexico. If you can stand 64 degrees, it's great for swimming with the critters. Notably, two good size mating sting rays! But what does this have to do with "coaching"? Coaching is about a safe place for a client to feel comfortable enough to explore the full range of their emotions; the good, the bad and the ugly. By looking deeply, consciously and lovingly at the whole self, it helps the person learn to identify very clearly what it is they really want or need in order to feel happy, fulfilled, energized, healthier, more prosperous and aligned with the Divine Plan / Purpose for their life. As a coach I need to be living what I teach. I need to be listening to my heart. And, I do. I need to be willing to go with the flow and not fight it Fighting it will only prevent or block me from living my highest and best life. I no longer want to procrastinate about anything in my life. I have taken care of enough older and dying people that the preciousness of life is screaming out to me at all times. I value life and the opportunities we have presented to us every day. Actually every moment. At any moment we can decide that we have had enough of something that is no longer important to us anymore, or something that no longer serves them in a positive way. We can decide the job or profession we have been doing for years, or decades, is just not anything more than a money maker. It is perhaps no longer in alignment with our values , interests, or energy level. We are just not happy because we are living out of alignment. We are living a lie of sorts; lying to ourselves about how it is still OK, when in reality it is killing us. It is lacking "juice" , life force, and any kind of emotional satisfaction. At any moment we can come to the awareness that someone in our life is not contributing to our health, but actually toxic for us. We can choose to take inspired actions to work on healing or leaving that relationship. Maybe it is the relationship we have with our "self" or our body, our past, our money, whatever. Whatever it is, we can at any moment wake up to the truth that we actual have the power to make different choices in our lives. Choices that can bring us from dull, mundane, utilitarian lives to lives of wonder, excitement and joy. Lives where we live with passion! My head told me I could not go to Florida. My head was negative and limiting in it's evaluation of what was possible, but upon tuning in to my heart I felt the call to let go and allow myself the gift the Universe was offering me of a free trip and free places to stay. A time to get away. A time to see things from a fresh and new place. A time to be with very good friends and laugh and laugh until my sides felt like splitting. I recommend listening to your heart more often. Daily. Maybe many times daily. Whenever you are questioning your life, or some decision, give your heart a chance to be heard. Do not go only with what your head says. Balance is and so many times we just let the head rule. Valentines Day is coming! Let your heart be heard! Who knows where that may bring you? What place? What career change? What new people or maybe one special person. Give yourself the gift of listening to your heart today. How about now? So much more is possible, and waiting for us to receive. Let us all open up and accept the blessings which abound. Warmth, Jeanne Why Blog?
First of all, it seems to write down one's thoughts and feelings, as in "journaling" is a good way to become more conscious with what actually IS going on within you on many levels. It is a way to sort of air out and clean up the jumble of thoughts in your head and maybe even give you a taste of peace of mind. Also, it is good to have some sort of record of things incase you should want to go back and check on the timing of certain events and see what their effect has had upon your life. Another reason may be to share with others who enjoy your company and share a common interest in the things you do. There are so many fascinating topics in our world today. It is nice when you can find someone on your wave length to talk about them, and learn from each other. I can't generally find material on the things I am interested in in the daily newpapers; never have. But these days I can find a plethora of information on topics I like on the internet and from reading other's blogs. What great teachers we can all be for each other. We can get such insights and grow in a fun and natural way just by sharing life and experiences with one another. It is more human and real somehow. So maybe you don't resonate with my blog, but if you have a special interest, I am sure there is someone out there blogging about it who you can enjoy and learn from and perhaps even contribute to. Today, I begin Blogging on this my coaching website; www.coachjeanneprom.com My intent is to keep growing myself and to help others to grow in the ways of becoming more conscious, more aware, more truthful, healed and loving, everyday. Onward, Jeanne Today's world is ever evolving and so are we, what we do, how we do it and how we get it out there into the public eye. For me, then translated into having to create an entirely new website for my coaching practice.
I am in the process of learning how to do with with Weebly.com and it seems pretty user friendly but I do have a few snags I can't figure out yet..... YET. So, in the meantime , I will publish this site so I can see what you will be seeing when it is complete. I doubt anyone will find it until I give them my new url, so any mistakes , hopefully, will be corrected by the time I ask you all to give it a look, and let me know if you see things that don't look or sound right to you, as a past or possible coaching client. For now, keep moving forward in a happy direction..... or don't proceed! Jeanne |
